To wand, or not to wand?

Hi everyone

I am starting in the residential area with my business, and would like some advice on cedar and other wood shingles.
I have used a flat surface cleaner on asphault shingles, what about wood shingles can it be done, if so how much harder is it?
Also what is a good detergent to use in removing the silvered areas?
Or is a wand the better choice?

Thanks,
Bill W :)

i would never use a surface cleaner on wood.
you need to wash "with the grain"
as far as what chem to use depends on lots of things
but for just removing gray unsealed wood carb-bleach then brighton with citric acid or oxlacic acid you can do a ton of research on wood here and i highly suggest you do.
most here are going to give you crappola for useing that surface cleaner on any roof.
wood is softer on the sunny side of the roof and with a surface cleaner cant vari for that.
