Tuff Hot Skid Electrical

Does anyone know what the current rating is for the thermal breaker on a Tuff hot skid unit with a 12 volt Wayne burner? Also where to get a new one?

Also on a 16hp Vangaurd, there is a white wire with a small round connector, anyone know what that wire is for?

Thanks in advance,
Roger

Hi Shawn,

Thanks for the response. I did go by Hotsy this afternoon and spoke to one of their mechanics, but he wasn't sure what the current rating was for the Tuff unit, but suggested it should be about the same as the Hotsy unit, 30 amp. They didn't have a replacement, but found one at Altex Electronics in Carrollton.

As for the white wire, the Hotsy mech had no idea what the white wire was, nor did a mechanic at lawn equip shop that services Vangaurd engines. I did figure out that when the key is in the ON position there is 12 volts on it. It may be just an accessory line off the ignition switch or what an hour meter connects to. It really doesn't matter, was just curious why it was hanging there not connected to anything and thought someone here might know off hand what it was for.

Shawn, I didn't realize there were any other members here from the Dallas area. I must have missed your past posts. That's funny, I did see one of your rigs the a week or so ago in the North Dallas area. Maybe we should meet sometime.

Thanks again for the reply,

Roger,
Thermal breaker should be @ 20amp. You can pick one up at local electrical supply store. White wire as said above is used for accessory power supply.

Thanks Glen,

I'll have to look for a 20 amp breaker, the only one I could find the other day was a 30 amp, will replace it as soon as I can find the right one.
