water stream on Landa

Hey Wiz,

I have a 3500psi landa, 4gpm. The tech manual states there should be a trickle of water out of the middle "nut" on the front of the gp pump. How do you tell if the trickle is too much?. I can feel a little of the O-ring protruding under the nut, so the trickle can occur. I have had no pressure problems and the unit runs great, but am concerned that the trickle may be too much. Any thoughts or Ideas. Also, the manual states in various places a conflict in what oil too use. I have a 13hp honda and the honda book states 10w30 for oil and tranny oil, but the landa manual keeps refering to 10w40. What do you suggest? Thanks for your help.

The trickel they refer to is out of the bypass of the unloader. Any other leaks are not a good sign. They are describing how to adjust the unloader with the bypass line off temporarily . And the oil in the motor is different than the pump oil. The motor oil is 10w40 but the pump oil is NONDETERGENT 30wt oil.
