What do you use to block drains

Hello , I was curious what method that other wash companies use to block strom drains, what kind of covers do you use do you make your own buy them from someone and what method do you use for recovering the water from the ground. We use the old fashion sump pumps, does anyone make a gasoline powered vacuum system?

Lift up the grate place 4 Ml plastic over the drain, replace grate. We use a sump pump to move the water.

In this example we transferred the water directly to the customers oil-water seperator.

I second Dave's method. We use thick rubber mats to cover drains with a steel plate on top for added weight, or remove the grate and cover with rubber mat and then replace grate. We also use 25' & 50' water booms to stop or direct water for collection. Not a fan of the vacu-boom, there is a reason why their adds are drawn and not real world pictures.

Plastic or rubber is the way to go if the budget is tight, as not a real need for the expensive "tools" , it does the same job.
