Ya know, I must be suffering from sleep deprivation, old age, or something... As soon as I read Beth’s response it occurred to me that the first wood restoration job I ever did with HD-80 was on a picnic table that had been stained Barn Red (several times) and then painted with oil based paint.
As I recall, I had to call Russell about this because I wasn’t sure if I was using the product correctly and/or applying too much pressure. As it turned out, Russell recommended another application or two, and that I ease up on the pressure.
If I had another job like this and I was using HD-80, I’d be a alot more patient, do as many applications as necessary, and keep the pressure around 800PSI.
