JE Adams Brass as long as you dont drop em hard or set anything heavy on top of them, Brass tends to bend easier.
Swivels work well also. Had a few leak but I contribute that to operator error. lol

I've been useing the twist on QC, got some from Robert in Dallas and some from the guy we can mention in California. I put them on all of the hoses, handles, and wands. they hold up to hte hot water, being dropped and have easy to replace stnadard o'rings.

I used to use wd40 but not anymore. Wd40 will soften your O rings ( washers ) it is a proven fact. As for Conectors I take what ever the shop has. After a few months of bending getting dirt in them and the chemicals used I want the ones that are available now.

I know that I do a complete change or QKC twice a year, not that much money but every writeoff for Taxes is welcome.

hansen makes a coupler and plug that is super heavy duty.I love them.No more struggling to disconnect when I switch from the surface machine back to the gun. They are at least 3 times larger in diameter so,use them only at the ends.Rated at 6000 psi

Would that be the the Hansen with the O-Ring and Viton back up ring?

I have a couple of guys that use these, they are kind of pricey, bu they hold up well. (Too bulky though IMHO.)

I prefer brass couplers over stainless in the tough construction environment we operate. Use SS plugs in some places, brass in others. Don't have a cost effective source of Adams, so don't use. For us, Breco better than Hanson, Hanson much better than Chinese stuff floating around. Have tried WD40, silicone, vasoline, grease and motor oil; overall we like oil the best.

My experience with q/c's spans 14 years, doing fleets, i've found that brass does not hold up as well as stainless especially with a shut off gun. The constant pressure hit every time you open or close the gun causes the plug to wear and orings to wear out. Try a non- shut off gun or file down the plugs and buy extra o-rings.

last year i called mark and replaced all my qcs with stainless including all wands. i haven't had one problem. ask mark about prices. it was very reasonable. the steel rusts and brass corrodes around acid. the stainless is the best for me.
