Running 2 pumps on the same machine

Dave, Since this system is located in Seattle we installed a oil to water heat exchanger. This system is installed in a 1998 Ford 750 enclosed truck with diesel engine. Anytime they run the truck or plug it in for cold weather the hydrualic oil is preheated. It works well and the...

Running 2 pumps on the same machine

GLenn, I have never used the electric clutch driven pumps. It is the same type of clutch that lawn tractors use and they hold up for many years. We have built several hydraulic driven units that can consist of as many pumps as you desire and can afford. The last unit I built...

    lawyer joke.

Not the greatest at telling jokes but gave it a try. Man decideds he needs a good guard dog so he goes down to the local pound. He goes to the first cage and hears the meanest looking German Shepard growling at him. He comments to the keeper "Thats one mean dog and I will take him"...

    Engine Noise

Is this pressure washer a direct drive unit. If it is remove the pump from the engine crankshaft and check for key wear. Alot of times it will destroy the pump shaft and the engine crankshaft. You can have a machine shop cut a new keyway in the crankshaft of the engine. This will make a knocking...

    gauge placement

I prefer to install the gages in the extra pressure port of the pump, tee before unloader, or with a valve cap adapter. If you install the gage after a unlaoder it will always read pressure and will not show you what the pump is doing: if the unloader is working or not. Hope this helps...

    Cat pump

[boing] Like Mark and Wiz said it would be much better to get the oil at the right level. Have seen several seals ruined because of too much oil. Some of those pumps are a bear to get the oil out of so we made a vacuum tank to suck the oil from the pump. We use it all the time to change...

    Starter

Dan, Briggs uses a very cheap starter solenoid. They do crazy things sometimes. We replace them with a automotive type found on older ford vehicles. Once this is done we never see them back. Also check to make sure your battery connections are tight and pull keyswitch out and check to...

    surface cleaner not cleaning right

Jon, Like Mark stated you probably have a swivel leaking by. This will lower the pressure at the nozzles. Also you might have bad bearings. They might feel ok when you spin it by hand but when you have 3000psi at the swivel it might cause the swivel to drag. Are you getting a lines as...

    Nozzle size for concrete cleaner

Hey Cody, What the wiz is trying to tell ya is 99% of all high pressure nozzles and tips are sized at 4000psi. If you go by the tip chart a #2.5 nozzle will flow 2.5gpm at 4000psi. At 3000psi the same tip will flow around 2.17gpm. So make sure you size the tip for the pressure you are...

    engine wont start

Is this a vanguard or is it an I/C opposed twin. Does it only have one coil? If it is an opposed twin it will not have diodes on the kill wire. Also most of the opposed twins do have a fuel pump that does fail. They are sometimes mounted on the engine cowl or built into the carb. Can't remember...
