The remaining stain that won't strip off. Now what?

Jim, Who wound up having to pay the $25K?? The PW did the damage and liability insurance wouldn't cover his asterisk since he didn't perform his duties properly. Right? He should have done some reasearch or asked in here before tackling that job. JRabbit

    Winter fleet washing/ Got light?

Bridget, Your comment that bakeries could become the bread and butter thru the winter got us thinking..... That you could: Consider dairy trucks as a cash cow opportunity Develop repeat business washing radish farm trucks Get a head with brewery delivery vehicles Raise your spirits washing for...

    Scanning your fleet accounts

Bridget, I've had experience using bar code tracking in production work flow. We were tracking in the thousands of units and not dozens. When it was running right we could pinpoint Joe Customer's new widget with a few mouse clicks. Let it hit a bump and we couldn't use it to locate the plant...

    Scanning your fleet accounts

Wouldn't missing the count be covered by comparing the printed slips with the number of trucks on the site?? You could do the usual job and afterwards go around and scan all of the trucks at one sweep. It would be like production scan tracking, do the pile of work assigned and scan all at once...

Vinyl Siding . . . Bottom to Top?

Mike, Streaked the siding way bad. Customer went nuts, guy was running sans insurance (not a good idea huh?) and after some legal wrangling he settled it by residing the house. Wish I could say he got insurance and made it all work but far as I know he's running a convenience store somewhere...

    What's up with this!

I understood it was the dirt, not the siding color that had faded. No suggestions on cleaning 'cept to keep doing what you had some success with, til it's acceptable to the customer. As to cause, if the grime is on North side, facing the state highway, that side would be in the shade and would...

Vinyl Siding . . . Bottom to Top?

Mike, I know two people who paid dearly learning that lesson. Streaked siding and angry customers. One broke even by lucking out with cleaning, the second choked on $10K in repairs and replacement of the siding. JRabbit

Vinyl Siding . . . Bottom to Top?

Mirage, Wash bottom to top and the dirt gets rinsed down over the clean areas. Wash top to bottom and the raw chemical runs thru the dirt below and doesn't get pressure washed away til long after the recommended few minutes. If it goes wrong enough you're either spending lots of time trying to...

    Great New Product!!!

You have the outdated pics. The upgrade version has a walker attachment and there's another style that has those spin around letters for when you hire infants to press wash their cribs. You could save a few $$$ and buy the stick with a chunk of sandpaper on the end for $22.99 S&H is only...

Interviewing going par for the course

Walt, Was gonna suggest you throw some worse case scenarios at the applicants and see their replies but it looks like they're bringing their own to the interviews. Ya might want to hold the meetings at a local bar and look to hire the guy that has to ask directions. JRabbit

    engine wont start

Jerome, Disconnect one end of the wire and measure the resistance with an ohm meter. Do it with the engine OFF! A properly working diode will measure zero resistance one way, Mega-resistance the other. Exchange the probes to measure in opp. direction. Diodes are used instead of fuses...

    A Matter Of Punctuation

A unhappily married lady from down the street says she'd write that Woman without. Her man is NOTHING!!! I'd have asked his opinion but I never go into the watering hole he hangs in. JRabbit

    TANK UPDATE>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Just a thought. Electricity follows the path of least resistance. Routine maintenance on an airless includes frequent checks of the resistance of the line to the gun, I forget the specs. (Something on the order of half a megOhm I think) If that resistance is too great, couldn't the charge...
