    Cement-Pump Trucks

Anyone with experience washing pump trucks? Have an account with a vital inspection on Fri., and of course the booms haven't been properly cleaned for probably 3years. Other than heavy degreaser and hot water, and probably about 12 hours - any suggestions to get it done right the first...

    Pressure washing reference guide

JustMe - A copy of said document would be a welcome addition. Will you forward us one? AeroWash@att.net. In fact, if you need any examples/anecdotes of "learning the hard way", I've got many - mostly 1st hand, and some good stories from old-timers in the area. We...

    Water Broom Worthless?

Recently bought a water broom for smaller projects, but it causes the pump to surge. It's only rated to about 3.5 gpm. Could pushing too much water volume cause this surge? I'm running a B&S 16hp w/General ts2021 5 gpm - cold water.

    Reason for Surge?

Mark - Thanks for the help! I tried one of my other guns, and it worked great. After taking the old gun apart, I see why/how it's often easier to simply buy a new one ... since a repair kit is about %75 of the cost of a new one, and you still don't know how long it will last. It's amazing...

    Reason for Surge?

Vanguard 16 horse twin (briggs&stratton). Pretty basic - source hose from H2O tank, pressure hose w/2 step lines. Actually, the unloader cycles always ... low pressure or high. Tonight I noticed some older splices in the pressure hose that are suspect. I'm sure the gun is my problem though...

    Reason for Surge?

Yet ANOTHER aspect - the trigger has been sticking as well, to the point of being able to work for 5-10 min. or so w/out applying any pressure at all on the trigger. Thanks! Sunny

    Reason for Surge?

Mark - Yes, that is correct.

    Reason for Surge?

Now that I think about it, only @ higher pressure does it surge, and yes, I do use a quick-coupler. I figure that a leak of some sort, somewhere, is the culprit - and from the leaking, the gun is my prime suspect? I've got more guns, but hate to toss anything fixable or salvagable for...

    Reason for Surge?

This doesn't seem any big deal, when my gun is off, the p/w surges periodically, seemingly at random. Also, water continues to flow out of the nozzle as well (small amount, no pressure). Hose is fine, w/no air leaks to be found anywhere. Pressure is right on, and all operational aspects are...

    Industry battlewounds?

 One of my prtners recently broke his arm doing a roof, after nearly 15 years injury-free. I got to thinkin' about all I've done to myself already, in much less time. Anyone else w/scars, or am I fuul throttle too often?

    Postal Contract Bid Headache

Hey there, take it easy Big Spender-I said thanks for the tip, and I meant it. I didn't realize you're so sensitive. You hand it out-and then cry foul when you get a little back? I'd take being unemployed ANY time, if you are an example of success. Now go take your Zoloft, and sleep well...

    Postal Contract Bid Headache

Hey everyone, a high-roller! I understand that I'm new, but if you can't see someone coughin' up a couple Franklins, or a grand even, to secure a gig worth 200-large ... I've MUCH to learn from you, Mr. Big Time. Oh, and scrubbin' every cell on your floor while doin' 4-to-7 for armed...

    Postal Contract Bid Headache

Re: Sunny Coastal Ed- Yea, we have a solid rapport with most all of the postmasters, fleet maint. mgrs., and supervisors, and they seem to be on our side (I say SEEM), problem is, the decision is coming from Philly, PA; to me made by this woman who has no idea what a ... well...
