Looking for HELP here in Florida on start up?

Ross Ross, probably the most effective research tool i used during my start up was the "search" function on this site as well as the powerwashing books that i found at home depot and barnes and nobles. THE SEARCH FUNCTION IS GREAT

    A few Questions

Ckw If your going to powerwash in Austin, i have 2 names for you. WESTLAKE AND LAKEWAY. My parents have properties there and a lot of the ($350k-1mil) homes have now reached the 10-15 yr old range and are ripe for more of the simpler deck and siding jobs. As for your choice of equipment, the...

    mildew

Danny, Be careful when u bid jobs that require you to clean something that is above and area like "brick" that they dont want cleaned. On more than one occasion i have had a potential client get smart and request that knowing that the chems would run onto the brick and more than likely they...

3 yr old metal bldg with mold spots

metal/mold Larry is very much correct about the wand marks as i have been called in to inspect a similar result. The key to easy washing is to be patient after applying the chems and allowing them to do the majority of the work for you. Then you can back off with a 40 tip and make your life a...

    Stamped Concrete

jeep. I recentely encountered a project that involved stamped concrete and had very little success as far as satisfying the customer because for whatever reason the cleaning process left the "sun affected" areas looking slighty faded. Be very careful with the amount of paint stripper you use...

    Marketing question

Sorry for taking up your time ladies/gentlemen but i was wondering how many of you have utilized a door to door marketing technique and if so, how succesful was it for your business? Im attempting to convince myself that i can suck it up and go knock on some doors and i just wanted to get some...

    Dryvit (Stucco) buildings...

Dryvit I concur that for stucco it is always preferable to focus on good chems and less pressure. Also as a pre-warning for whatever reason i have f ound that stucco homes have a problem with leaking through cracks into the homes through windows/doors that werent sealed properly etc. Its...

    staining on brick

wondering That picture made it seem like it was old grafitti stains. Does anyone have an opinion on what that stain is? It looks too eratic to be a natural mold etc.

How do I get black carbon (exhaust) off brick?

safe Unless you are really experienced i would try everything under the sun before acid. Acid can/will work, but it is arguably the trickiest cleaning method in our business. I suggest (Hot water + degreaser + 3500psi.)

    Power Washing Soap

Auto detail When i began doing auto detailing i ran into a similar problem. After trial and error i found that the powerwasher was useful for pre rinsing and post rinsing the vehicle but that there really isnt a legit substitute for good old handwashing. Recently, i have begun to use my pump up...

    A Simple House Cleaning Concern....

wash As a general rule, hot water always cleans better than cold. However on certain surfaces cold water works just as well. There have been times where certain clients in high scale areas had very expensive plants, and when i run into those situations i always test to see if i can achieve...

    equipment

Trey Long-term u will definately want to go with a tow behind, but for the short-term where cash is most often an issue you can get by with a "store bought" PW. I would be very careful though on the pressure level you use on wood however. I never do wood higher than about 2000 psi and a 25...

    concrete cleaning

Wow Maybe u guys should settle this dispute like the powerwashers did back in the old west. Both of you take ten paces and then turn around and blast each other with your powerwashers. Just please make it a fair duel and no one use ACID. Just a little humor gentlemen, have a good day...

Would this flyer work in your neighborhood?

haha Is he cleaning playhouses? That is ridiculous. If what you say is true then im willing to bet he just priced himself out of business, not to mention i bet he is lacking insurance.

    concrete cleaning

concrete Assuming the concrete has no old oil stains on it, your golden. It will be an easy clean and your cutomer will love it. In my limited experience you shouldnt have a problem using your existing chems, no reason to deviate. good luck

    Oil Stains

best way To see if it has been discussed already is to use the search function up top. Just type in the name of the cleaner and it will bring up any discussions on the product.
