    Use Oahu as your base and take a two (minimum) day trip to Kauai. The garden isle is what everyone thinks of when they think of Hawaii. Oahu is like Downtown Los Angeles or New York etc with a beach and a truckload of tourists!

    If you want to give a "brother" a hand up, be honest with him. Don't suger coat or minamalize the importance of doing things correctly. "Go for it" as advice on taking on a chain account with no KEC experience is about the stupidest thing I have heard.

    I am not in fear of my livelyhood, actually everytime someone that does not have a clue about flue cleaning starts up a new business (and there are plenty) that flops it adds to my credibility. Sure I may lose a few customers for a while, but they come back...and I have to charge extra to clean...

    Debob, Work for someone else. 95% of new business fails within the first year, and if you are trying to start with no real source of income (ie. investor, etc..) you are real likely to become a statistic. I don't mean to sound negative, but I don't want to see another struggling hood cleaning...
