A fine example of a lowballer.

<FONT COLOR="e87400">MY mothers neighbor hired a tree service last week to remove a couple of trees in her yard. The company she hired was the lowest bidder, the name of the company is "Affordable Tree Service" (heh,, starts with an "A"). This was of no real concern to my mother since the trees belonged to the neighbors and they were hiring the service to remove them. Well it became her concern, later in the day (around 3pm) she went outside and saw that the service had dropped a lot of branches and debris into her back yard. She then noticed that they had dropped one large limb onto the orange tree then to top it off she found that they had set a very large limb on top of her house.

She looked around the neighbor's yard and the service was not there so she went over to the neighbors to find out who they were and what was going on. The neighbor had no idea where they were so my Mother called the company to complain. Upon contacting the receptionist of the company my mother informed her of the problem and the receptionist told her that the guys were done for the day. (Now all the debris is still in the yard and on top of the house, it's about 4pm and still at least 2 hrs of daylight left) My mother told the receptionist that she wanted the debris out of her yard and the limb off here house before sunset. The receptionist told here "Well ma'am what you want and what your gonna get are two different things". So.. My mom had to call my brother and a friend to come and at least remove the limb from here roof. (this limb was about 9inch in diameter)

Well a lot more transpired between my mother and the service across the next couple of days. I told her to call a few ppl to find out what coarse of action to take to penalize the company and how to sue them for damages and trespassing (Trespass since they never had permission to drop the debris in her yard)
When she contacted the Better Business Bureau about it they were not surprised. They told here that the company had one of the worst records that they had ever seen & that there were too many complaints to even go though. They said that they would file her complaint against them also but with so many that it wouldn't make a difference. Of course they also told her that in the future she, the neighbor & all should always check out the company with the BBB before they hire not after!!

Way to go Lowballer

Moral of the story. Best price may cost you & The BBB is only a phone call away.

Amazing how people like that can continue to be in business year after year. He must have to move about every five years, so he can have a fresh round of victims.....
