Here comes a dumb question:

Is MSN like Earthlink and AOL? in other words is it Internet service provider?

Hey I have never even looked into MSN, have had Earthlink for years and been happy ok.

Just the way you guys are talking I get the feeling that is what it is.

Gosh folks no one ever said I know it all

thanks Tony,

Those of you that use MSN, are you happy, does it go down much, do they have DSL and if so may I ask what your month cost is?

Do they have FREE 24 hour technical help, not that I call it but knowing MS nothing is FREE with them.

Also does/would it mess up my Outlook mail as has been mentioned with the IE 6.0?

Not that I would change but find it interesting to learn as much as I can.

LOL.....

Dan, that is exactly right. My answers were regarding Explorer 6, which is for use with MSN as your ISP.

Not to be confused with IE 6.0 as Miscrosoft's browser. You would think they would have either changed the version number, or taken the word Explorer out. Very easy to confuse the two, especailly since both also have to do with the internet. Thank you, Billy Gates.

Jon, if you are not using MSN as your ISP, then your mail is fine. And you can use IE 6.0. If you join MSN, then you will have to install Explorer 6.0 to use with their service, which will goof up Outlook. Clear as mud? :(

I never call tech support. I know it's there though. I also am able to log on with no problems, and it is rare that there is an issue. Maybe once a month or so there is a slight hiccup.

Ya Jon,

It is,but better. Not the best. But services like earthlink and aol really su*k. You will find that out when you change. My opinion of MSN is exactly the same as Beth's.

However like I said before. I thought IE6 was MSN Explorer and they are two different browsers. I did not find that out until I removed MSN Explorer from my system. I guess I will have to re-install IE6
