Just wondering if I was the only one that has these kind of days.
Woke up this morning, went to clean a lady's house got there at 7:30. Started cleaning and underestimated how tall it was.
I had a 20ft extension ladder, coulden't reach the top, had to go to town and rent a 40ft ladder. Got back and climed up it and dropped my wand and broke it, had to go back to town and get a new one. Got back finished the house at 3:30. Went to wash a single wide trailer, got half done and ran out of water. Left and went to the utility dept. and filled up. Went back and finished. Was supposed to have both done by 1:00 and then go to the Ford dealership to clean the cars, had to cancel it. Went home and unloaded and broke my watch. And on top of all that I pulled a muscle in my back trying to move 40ft extension ladder around, and also got a major sunburn.
But this still beats my other job as a pipe insulator, atleast I don't itch from fiberglass.

Steve I have lots of days like that. Just the other day I caused a bad bleach spot on a lady's carpet while getting out a spot. I also clean carpets by the way. While pressure cleaning my home I shot bleach water through my den door on out 1200 dollar green brand new carpet and caused spots all over it. You're not alone my friend!

Steve,
Sounds like some of that NC luck. I went to do a Double wide about an hour drive away the other day, the guy had no water pressure. I mean only a trickle came out. Had to turn around, go all the way back home, fill up with water and go back the next day. Lesson learned, always carry water!
It'll get better, right

I have to laugh when i read these responses! ALMOST all my days go like this.I really enjoy washing big rigs, but hardly ever get to wash anymore because i got bigger then i wanted. NOW all i do is fix repair replace make hose talk on phone, make sure my HELP arrives etc! I FEEL LIKE A BABYSITTER! I started out at 5.30 this morning, rebuilt a pump in front of my truck(headlights shining) way before anyone started washing. ITS a fulltime job just keeping everything in order,BUT I LOVE IT

I have days on a regular basis that would make that day sound good. At least you were able to complete 2 of the jobs you left home for. I would have went home after the first job went bad out of pure fear of what might happen next. Let me explain: Got up one morning about 3 years ago and phone was dead(thought I payed the bill but obviously not),got started late because I had to take care of that, someone cancelled appointment, next job(thought it couldn't get worse)it started raining and had to wash vans in the rain. Went inside to exchange keys and came back out and my truck and trailer had been STOLEN!!!!!(i'm not kidding). The cops took their time getting there and found my truck 3 days later about 2 counties away(ruined) and I never saw my equipment and trailer again. Thought I was covered for this but wasn't. I had to borrow money to get started again because everything that I did not get back had to come out of my pocket. I could actually write a book on bad days but I am still out there working everyday no matter what comes my way. Never give up, man!!!
