Surface Cleaner issue?

Getting water coming out of the canister/quick connect area on top of my surface cleaner when we turn our heater on?? When I run it cold very little if any is noticeable. Any idea what this is? I changed out the quick connect and etc and I am thinking it might be a seal or something.

I will post a pic of it later today when I get back from doing some flatwork but thought I would throw the question out there.

Sounds like an odd place for it to leak! I'm rebuilding one know for classic due to shaft breaking due to employee running it off the sidewalk. Get some pics.

Uhhhhh did you have a brain cramp and not check that before? or did it change?

I usually check...this time I didn't. Went out the day before vaca last week to look at the property. Was in a rush...had a zillion things to do...you know the drill.....Anyway, failed to check. This is a deal from a Real Estate agent....it is a rental property which should have been my first clue to check the H2O.

Cool..just wanted to make sure I wasnt the only one. Been there done that a FEW times. I always feel like an Idiot when I get back in truck after that happens. That and my machine running out of gas are like my two biggest, what I cal "blunders". I'll actually yell at myself saying "gas/water the two most important things I must have and I didnt even check". Frustrating then but funny days later.

Does the swivel have any side play?

Turn unit over and see if the shaft has any side play.
If no side play you can probably get away with just
replacing seals.

No play in the swivel from what I can tell. Maybe just seals?

Been there done that with h20 I can usually find a water source near by load up my tanks and back to work for me.
As far as petro goes that's a different story like Doug says I'll punish my self for doing that.
