Michael T, You said that bleach turns to salt. Put salt on your plants and lawn and see what happens. Put salt on your house and see what happens over time.

After a period of time the texture & gloss is worn away. Bleach does this faster then just regular "wear". Vinyl is designed to last many years. I use whatever is available that is biodegradable for the job at hand.

Use anything that is biodegradable! You can get it at Lowe's Home Depot and the like. Personally, I refuse to use bleach - - way too harmful
