    The caustic in it is burning the alum. We shy away frpm sodium hydroxide based soaps for trucks for that reason and it can dull the paint overtime.

    It all depends on where you are, how good you are, experience, reclaim and a lot of other varibles.Once a month washing for a road tractor? we wouldnt be near $15 (much higher) and on van trailers we give a discount after x amount but stay right around JETSTREAM1's price for a two time a month...

    I just retiered a HOTSY 1260SS unit that had well over 8,000hrs on it. Great machine. I also just bought a Landa SLT which is an awesome machine as well.

    If you have all the equipment close by and have common sense as well as plumbing and mechanical skills go ahead and do it yourself. Basiclly all your doing is bolting down your unit,water tank, chem tanks and reels onto your trailer plumbing it up and making sure it is where you want it to be...

    Oh I thought he was talking about how he could reattach the hose without the reel working. Sorry Yep I always carry an extra 50' and also a hacksaw and hose field repair kit.

    What I have done in the past when the swivel breaks is just attach my hose to the end of the jumper hose going from the burner to the reel, or even just attach the hose to the burner outlet fitting.
