:smad:Hello everyone,
I'm new to this site as well as to the pressure washing industry, I found out about this site about two weeks ago, when I saw this guy pressure washing and sealing a driveway. I stopped to ask him a few questions about pressure cleaning pretaining to estimating, pricing, materials, supplies, ect...He told me about this site and spoke very highly of it. And I must say, I've been peeping in almost on a nightly basis, It has been all that this guy told me it would be. That has been the best information I have gained so far. Questions that I've been asking around for has been answered right here some but not all. My question tonight is about a tile roof I did today. This was the first roof I've done. The roof was very dirty, I used a roof wash with mildew resistant first but the roof was very steep. The wash rolled right off, It had no time to lift the dirt/mildew it took me 8 hours to clean 1600 square foot. I don't feel good about the job, the roof came clean but I'm not sure how long it will stay clean. I feel like I gave the homeowner a plain water wash with a pressure washer. Is there anything or chemical I could have used to make this easier for myself and at the same time felt like I gave the customer a quality job?

Thanks Jetstream,
What I interpid from your applesause mix is that you mix all these chemicals in 65 gallons of water, and please understand that im not douting what you are saying I'm simplying trying to make sure I understand you. But Borax won't X out the chemical hydrcloride?

I bought the roof wash from the power wash equipment store where I purchased my trailer from here in Ft. Lauderdale, they told me there that the roof wash was the safest thing to use on a tile roof and that it also had a mildew resistant that would clean and protect against mildew. But I guess you really learn from experience...I won't buy that again...But I really appreciate your patience and knowledge. I will offer to do the job again at my cost and try the applesause mix.

well, I looked at the roof next door to my customer and you can see the difference, the guy next door got his roof cleaned six months ago and it still has the sparkling clean look. And for the most part I'm just starting out and I would like to do work I'm proud of, I'm a true beliver in referals. I feel like that will grow me faster that any advertisement and referals are free advertising. I'm only trying to give the customer what they are paying for. I know I don't like the fact of re doing a two story home twice, thats why I'm glad I found out about this site. You guys are the best, thanks again.

When doing this roof if you use the mix you will need to have a ground men watering
so the plants don't die.You will make it sounds like you have the will to grow
good luck with the job

Hey Carla, sounds like you are interested in doing things right. We are all here to help, and don't buy the junk that your supplier was selling you. It was probably just an overpriced sodium hydroxide mix.
