alternative to bleach on houses

Is there a product that instantly removes mildew off of houses other than bleach/Jomax. Here lately I have been cleaning houses with bleach/Jomax and my XJet. Yesterday, I cleaned a house and the wind picked up and took my mix and "tossed" it in the air. You could smell it on the other side of the house. It also affected some of the flowers. I keep things watered down as much as possible but it is time/labor intense. I've tried other products such as All-Brite, SimpleGreen, HomeDepot - House cleaner, PowerHouse, etc.. But the only thing that seems to work (atleast for areas needing to be reached with the XJet) is blasting it with bleach. Everything else needs to sit and dwell and then still needs t obe hit with some pressure. Bleach kills the mildew on contact but gets in the air and affects plant life.

Is there anything as effective as bleach and are there techniques I should be using that I'm not doing? Such as watering down plants. Is it a two person job? One cleaning and the other constantly watering down plants? Also, is tarping a good idea even in the hot summer months?

Wind is always a big problem with the xjet because the stream is already so atomized that it takes barely any wind to blow the bulk of it away. I love my zero degree soaping tips.

If bleach is going to hurt plants very noticeably, you may be using it too strong. I know of some "miracle" chems that supposedly work just as well, but it's like they say: You can't kill the "plants" growing on the house without a plant killing chemical. That's why Home Depot junk only loosens it a little and you've still got to use too much pressure to actually remove anything. Are you using 12.5% sodium hypochlorite or the grocery store clorox? How are you mixing it? Do you know the ratio on your injector? Are you using a proportioner on your x-jet? What's the gallons per minute on your machine? It's probably in the 10:1 or 15:1 range. I'll give you a little help with your bleach math for safe mixing if you can answer those questions for me. Let me know if you want to give me a call about this.

Clearview, I not far from you in hickory nc. Is there any place close to get 12.5% bleach with out having it shipped across the country and paying those heffty shipping cost also.I been doing housewashs mostly vinyl.I have used extension wand mostly for high peaks and two stories.the rig I purchased last year had an x-jet with it I know how to use it but it seem to me that you would waste alot of time caring around a 5gal. bucket it does spray high and you can put chemical up that and spay off the same way. Also and I know I have given you alot to digest with one post, would also like some help with mix ratio. My rig has 3500 psi at 4.2 gpm I have high and low injectors most use the low and I think it 3to1 ratio already when it goes thru injector thank chris, MOOREPOWERWASH

Where can I get a zero degree soaping tip and will it work when running chemicals from the machine or do you need an xjet?

We have zero degree nozzles available in different
orfice sizes, a downstream injector will draw chemical
at a determined pressure regardless of spray pattern
angle.

So in answer to your question: We sell zero degree
nozzles, and yes it will draw soap / chemical if siezed
properly to match your machine and your d/s injector.

An X-Jet is a great tool, many of our customers tell
us they could not do without!

Hello Chris,

Are you located off of 29th Ave across from Catawabe Ridge? I drive past one of you signs on 29th almost everyday. I live off of Spencer Rd. There is a place off of Springs Road called Maintenance & Chemical Supply that sells 12.5% S.H. Let me know if you would like to get together for lunch sometime.
