Another busted weekend

The real feel is 0 and the temp is 16 with the next several days being the same.Ice,sleet, freezen, snow and high winds have killed several weekend wash jobs in a row.I'm not crazy about spring cleaning but it looks as tho it will be spring before I get my next paycheck. Its enjoyable not having to worry about the accounts b/c they know why they are not getting washed.I can goof off now without feeling guility :),I'm glad I'm a one man team.It makes it easier to goof off on sunny days too but some of those days have a guility feeling when fish aren't biting.

BECAREFULL on the ice if your having to work.

I got my hair cut very short since it has been so warm this winter. I usually wait until spring, and boy do I regret it now. No hair equals cold brain.

Send some fish Larry, I am hungry

LOL yeah I almost did the same last month but glad I didn't,the long hair on the neck feels good this morning.Right now my fishing is in slow mode,it seems if tho I cann't buy a bite.We have low water levels everywhere, some 120a lakes are now down to 40a or less.It would seem like a guy could catch a boat load with all the fish roundup in a bathtub. But no you'll only catch enough to make you hungry, guess they have plenty to eat without moving or searching for something to eat, just a snack now& then is all they want.

Don't feel bad, Larry. Too cold to fish here, too. I'm staying in the house and playing the guitar today. I could use the practice, anyway.

I think that we have been lucky this winter season. This is our first weekend that we have missed all winter its 10° today feels like -4°. Our sales were up 58% for January 06 as compared to January 05. I cannot remember the last time we finished January with a profit.

I have been playing off-on for years ......... And Im still no good!!

I have been playing with the idea of jammin with the blues..since I love to pick.

couple years ago I bought a Boomerang .........that is the thing where you can record your lead and then do a rythm on top[ and keep loping it.........makes `ya sound like you can play...... and I need all the help I can get as well!:)

I don't think that I could survive now days anwhere else during winter. I grew up in Indiana but moved to Arizona about 7 years ago now....I love it here!

Hope the weather gets a bit warmer for you all over there real soon! [t2]

Hey, Dan. I play mostly country, some rock, some traditional gospel hymns. I haven't learned how to pick yet, but I've been working on a few licks and runs to go with my mostly strumming style. I have an acoustic 6 string. Once I learn to pick a little better I want to get an electric. I've only been playing for a little over a year now, and I'm teaching myself. Couple that with my limited free time, and it's slow going!
RED, that was unnecessary! LOL! Wish I was there today.

elec. is a bit easier on the fingers....

I have learned to use easy strings ..

I have several Guitars.... The one I play the most is a Fender it is elec. acoustic.

I have been in the Guitar Site store in Pittsburg............man it almost gives `ya a chub looking at all those fancy guitars............... I like playing the $3000.00 les-paul

man it sounds sweet!!

I won't be ready to spend that kind of $$$$ 'til I get better at it. I'll stick with the basics until I learn more. But I'm having a helluva lot of fun with it. That's the main thing.....until Alan Jackson calls, anyway!

Hey Luckyboy do I need to start a book store?,I've been doing alot of thinking lately theres got to be something easier besides dragging a hose around.Only thing I can think of is maybe start learning how to spam people out of money. It's getting pretty popular nowdays as a money maker.Send me 5 dallors and I'll help you sale those asprins and have all calls forward to any current address.

Larry you are still a hoot, doubt you will ever change.

Let me tell you one thing, we all know about week-end warriors, low ballers etc. well it is no different selling books.

You would be surprised how many sell a book for a penny, I kid you not, I buy some new books and they might cost me say $5.00 for 20 of them and here is 7 sellers selling the same book for a PENNY plus shipping.

Now how can someone make money if you lose $4.00 per book?

Is it more fun, well yes and no, is it any less time, NO, I spend an average of 3 to 5 minutes per book to check out it is worth selling, what others sell them for and listing it online if I do decide to sell it that way.

I have over a 1000 books not worth listing in my garage and about 2000 still to list with more always being added. I buy about 1000 a month, more if I can get them at a good price. Used books mostly but many almost new, some never read.

So pull your hose or sit in front of your computer for hours listing books, either way your going to make a buck.

Remember I was not allowed to work after surgery for close to a year so my choice was pretty much made for me about the PW business and I do miss the comradie here and other boards. I pop in to one once in awhile but seldom give any advice anymore, why when I am no longer doing that work.

So Arky when you feel your getting OLD and can't wind a hose give me a call and I will help set you up doing books. No charge for it either.
