10 days before Christmas and we are still getting the calls for washing. November was a great month but December is ....BRILLIANT :)

Commercial and residential jobs all last week. Had to postpone a condo gig today due to the rain.

Anyway just wanted to see if anyone else was still squirting water in between the cold weather for the guys back east and the rain we are getting out here in Cali.

LOL !!!!! Who needs sleep. I may sleep for a week come January, but too much $$$$$$ flowing in this December.

I hear ya Jim....I am confident that we will close out the year very strong.

Spoke to many of our clients this past week and they all said they are looking forward to working with us in 2011.

Next week we are mailing off some "appreciation goodies" to our clients!!

We received $11,460 in checks yesterday. Wish I could make that happen everyday, but yesterday was a day I did not mind spending 10 minutes in line at the bank.

Had another $1800 hit via our ACH account this morning.

That is great to hear, guys!

At the risk of sounding all mushy and gay, I have to say that we live in the greatest country in the world - STILL! The economy is horrible and Americans, because of our freedom and capitalism, are still able to make things happen. I just think it's awesome.

Now, to the real stuff... I am writing an article for my site that will explain things in more detail but it's basically going to be on this subject: business owners doing unconventional things, thinking outside the box, to do business in this new economy. In 2011 we can no longer sit back and wait for the phone to ring; we can no longer just keep on doing what we use to do and expect to succeed.

I think it's tougher for the o.g.'s because they are use to doing things a certain way, but they are proving that old dogs can learn new tricks.

I am sooo there with you Ant in your thinking. Wish I could hire someone like you for my marketing bro. I have a TON of GRAND ideas...but they are just that...IDEAS. Need to bend your ear bro...wanted to chat today but got tied up on that residential I texted you about.

Things have come to a halt for me, the cold weather here is kicking butt. Most of the time it stays in the 50 until Janurary but it has not got above freezing the last 3 days and snow tomorrow. Looking forward to 2011 through

We just did 4 commericial accounts and some residential accounts right before the bone chilling weather came a couple of days ago. I'm still getting some checks owed this past year so where going to hang on for another year or so. Big plans for 2011 and bigger ones for 2012. So lets keep our fingers crossed.

I could probably sell my business between $100-$150,000 if not more becuase of our Commercial accounts and our large recurring residential base we have along with my equipment and trucks. But thats not our goal. I like cleaning to much and I love it even more when we can get those $5000/day paydays. So where going to stick around for a few more years and see what happends then.

WOW its great that your still working ... mine ended about mid november ...But next spring is looking GOOD ...

Our monthly accts. start next week and also have a few jobs on the books ready to go! Good to hear Spring is looking good for ya. Are you in the Chicago area?

We are gearing up for our yearly Parking Garage Cleaning accounts. December was a nightmare. Way too much work.

As for on the Books this year, January and February up 36% or so.

Hopefully I can take that Vacation to Japan, China, Christmas Island, Singapore, Bali (Indonesia) and Malaysia that I wanted to take a few months ago.

Will need to move accounts around and take 2 months off. Could not do it in 2010 as planned. Too much money would of been left on the table for me to go. I hope that is not the case this year.

Ya... 2011 looking good.

Hey Jim this could be your legacy. Take some time off and go to those places and also look for work there. I have a guy who use to work for me that has been living in China for the last 5 yrs. He tells me that China is a wealthy country but there getting dirty as heck. You could probably land accounts there and make some boko bucks. My friend also told me that if I wanted to make a huge killing there I should have brought my swabby Mother ship there and you having an even more elaborate set-up you could set-up your Mother ship to just clean there water in the lakes etc cause there so contaminated. Big time bokoo bucks in that and as of now China is clueless on that. If your heading there I'll give you my guys Phone number. He only speaks 6 languages and he powerwashed for me for 3 yrs...go figure. He also was on my hockey team when we were teenagers so he can tell you about some wild times with brawls etc....and how my team was a sponsored team(Unheard of back then) and he left it to join a fruity teen disco team and we crushed them so bad that we broke a record that was never broken at that rink and yea he did score against us but the final score of 12-1 with my team having 84 shots on goal in basically a 36 minute game was a record that stood until they demolished that rink.

My Friends name is Hakan(John) who has a high IQ when we were kids like almost 140 and mine......well lets just say I'm a bit of an over achiever[r2] compared to what my score was and it was nowhere near his. I just worked like a dog and played to win always. Being undefeated the whole season only to lose in a playoff shootout is no good. To lose a few games during the season and then winning the championship that was everything. To go inside the building by me to duke it out with the owner of the rinks and then get banned for life.....priceless. If I didn't start so late in life Hockey would have been my ticket but in reality when you start playing ice hockey at 15 and then you run into some kids from Canada who started skating before they can walk...well thats the way it goes.....but man was it fun.

Carlos those big paydays are rare for us but there out there and they usually come from large commercial jobs. We hit that number on 3 seperate jobs in the last 2 yrs with one being in NY City. There's factors that come into play to get those numbers and some of them are the size of the job, how many guys per day doing the job and the type of equipment being used. Those are for me the "great Days".

But like the way gamblers talk people don't usually tell you the other side to often. We had a Job stiff us out of just about $5000 because they went belly up. Thankfully on that job I had 2/3rds of the money in hand already. Also last year(2009) on just about our last day of working my guys were driving back and the tranny blew on my truck as they were going thru the hills with my 18' enclosed trailer that probably totaled at least 9000 lbs. That cost me on the spot $2400 to get the tranny fixed and I got a decent deal I think because I do business with the truck place that fixed my tranny.

Other days if something goes wrong I could lose Hundreds and on top of that there is all your business expense.

If you like business and your willing to bust your but then its all worth it. You'll do fine..
