Do gas and diesel stains come out of concrete? The stains on the concrete I did tonight got lighter in color but still remained. I used a potassium hydroxide base degreaser and hot water. Would aluminum brightner or citric acid help? Also, there were some tire marks that still had a shadow.

If you used hot water and a cleaner, thats about is good as it gets and still make money. You could spend all night trying to get those stains out. Diesel stain at pump, not coming out. Get it on a regular basis. Much easier to wash. (1-2 months cycle)

I found a way to get the diesel stain out quick. Now, this stain has been there for years... it was deep and it may seep up but for tonight, there isn't even a shadow.

What I did is I cleaned it like the rest of the concrete. I used a strong potassium hydroxide base with a little foamer added. Hit it with a surface cleaner (using 305 degrees of heat) then rinces off with hot water on a turbo.

Then I squirted a little wood deck cleaner and brightner on it. It has oxaliac acid in it. I then hit it with stiff brush. I didn't brush it a lot, just mainly spread it around and in the crevices of the concrete. Then about 10 minutes or so later I hit it with the turbo nozzel again with hot water.

When it dried, it looked like new concrete.

Was I lucky this one time with this method or does anyone else have simular success?
