apartment complex bids

I have a chance to bid on a apartment complex. They need the breezeways cleaned. The complex has 17 buildings with 4 breezeways to each building. They measure 5 ft x 5 ft and some are upstairs. Has anyone ever done this and what did you charge? I am talking with other apartment complex managers that will need the same thing done. All help would be appreciated. Thanks...

You might consider pricing in on a time and materials basis. How long will it take to wash one breezeway? Charge a little more for the ones that are upstairs.

Do you have a decent water supply onsite? Charge more if water is not easily accessable.

You may even want to do a test and wash one breezeway to get a handle on what cleaners, if any, you would like to use, and see how long it takes.

Definitely check for water sources.
We have several complexes here that we do (some yearly, some every 2 yrs)
Some have water at every building, yet others have maybe 2-3 hook-ups total. For these we have a stock room half filled with water hoses just for these locations.
So if that is the case, you need to think about that expense when bidding as well as some traffic cones to mark your hose connections (these can bend and collapse when run over by a vehicle)
But, if you get in good with one or two managers, then you can get their sister complexes and on from there.
Very profitable...easy money! (2-3 weeks, same location everyday...nice!)
