Bee question

I was reminded by my folks that am highly allergic to bee stings. Before I lay any money out would this be the kind of business I can do with that problem? Would have one of those epi-pens but depending on how I felt end up going to the hospital anyway. Would be doing houses and mobile homes.

Well, you're going to come across bees fairly routinely. Especially in attic vents and places like that. Usually you can keep them away with the water, but you don't want to look like a fool in front of your customer, spraying wildly into the air. If you're concerned about it, just wear proper protection and you'll be fine.

I usually get stung a few times a season, try as I might not to.

Usually I get stung while washing mobile homes and houses, because that's the places where wasp and bee nests are often found.

I would think you should discuss with your doctor what you need to do to be prepared when you get stung. And sooner or later you will, but you can't live your life in a glass house, so I say do what you want, just be prepared.

I'm allergic to bees, wasps and fire ants. I keep Benedryl in the truck, just in case. Supposed to have an Epi-Stick too, but can't keep up with them. Anaphylactic shock can kill you rather quickly.

I am allergic to the same things Don is. I carry the Benadryl as well. Usually try to keep the Epi-Pen as well. I got stung this past year and immediately took 4 Benadryl. I felt like something was happening but it was a very mild reaction. I was able to finish the job. I would recommend calling 911 as soon as you get bit, if you are feeling okay by the time help arrives you do not have to go to the hospital.

I did this while mowing my grass this year. Got stung by a bunch of yellow jackets, I was home by myself, so I called 911. I took the Epi-Pen and was okay by the time help arrived. But it was nice to see them show up. Don is right, you can die rather quickly from the shock.
