Not a good start for me in the deck season. It seems every bid I go to I end up telling them that they are about 15-20 years to late or the last guy who did it 5 yrs. ago used to high of pressure with straight bleach and then never sealed it properly. Does anybody know how to care for there investments. I am curious to see How some of you handle a situations like this? Is there anything I can do for these customers?

Be a proffesional and repair the damage, make customer happy, get paid, and then have referalls from customer.

So you are saying to construct a new deck for these customers? I'm not talking about a couple of planks hear and there or a few spindles!

If I have to replace more than 50% of the deckboards or complete sections of balluster/ballustrades I refer the work to a deck building contractor.
