anyone do boats on trailers??
these are fresh water boats, cant use acid because of the trailers they are on

Deb,
Your right about the acid, it will strip the galvanized coating and cause them to rust if mixec to strong. I have tried Bleach with little success. I would suggest a citrus or dlimonene based cleaner. I hope they don't have barnacles, lol.

YES I HAVE CLEANED A FEW WITH CITRUS CLEANER FOR THE OUT SIDE OF THE HULL AND BLEACH FOR THE INTERIOR.I AM LOCATED
IN FLORIDA HOPE THIS HELP

We do boat detailing (in and out of water)...we have scaled back alot though...more profit in houses!
Anyway, always had lots of luck with citrus based cleaners. Just adjusted the mix and dwell time with how dirty and/or mildewy the boat was.
In addition to a little elbow grease :)
