Bulk Commercial Discount

Hi all,

I got a strong bite from a major commercial property (flat work-sidewalks) yesterday and was looking for some input on bidding this job.

I typically charge around .12 ft for sidewalks, .15 ft for med. to heavy soiled walks and .20 ft for very heavy areas like dumpster enclosures at resaurants on one time visit jobs that usually range from 800-3000 sq ft.

The commercial property I spoke of has 211 store fronts but are small walkways, say around 800-1000 sq ft ea. I doubt I would get them all but let's say I get half and maybe equals up to 100,000 sq ft. They indicated they would like them each done once a month.

My question is how much of a discount (ball park) would be a fair reduction to place a bid at.

Obviously I would love to have this account and don't want to price myself out of the game but it will all be night work and there will obviously be some drive time between jobs.

Any input would certainly help.

Thanks guys and hope everyone is doing well.

No bulk discount on the initial bid. Go in at a honest price and during negotiations then give a small reduction. Keep in mind with those numbers 210 units it might be hard to get trough the entire rotion a a month. It would work out to be almost ten per night 5 days per week.

My self I go in at a unit cost of 80-100 per store front and reduce the frequency to make the number easyer to handle. Say a seasonal wash per location, where the heavy foot traffic area more often. As the closer add a store front rinse to remove the dust and grime at no extra cost. Besides you should do the majority of the front to remove the heavy cleaning debris off the windows/doors.

Good luck

One of my main concerns would be the travel between locations.
If they're small locations you can't charge to much, but can you
still be profitable with fuel and all other expences.
