Hello to all,
Iam just starting out in this new venture and have run across what possible could be a deal but, would like some proffessional advice from some of you guy's.
This is an Aaladin 42-530 (vanguard) 3000psi,16hp B&S,5gpm,with a hot water tank of 210 deg mounted on a trailer with a 200 gal tank and two spools of 50 ft ea of hose.Owner says it only has 72 hours of use.being sold at 3,800.
How would someone in this creative business look at this equipment to begin with.
Thanks for anyones input.
Alex

Doesn't sound like a bad deal....any accessories to go with it? ALTHOUGH, Mark, one of the sponsors on this board has brand new set ups that look awesome. For a few more dollars you could have brand new, without whatever unknown problems you can get with a used rig.

Alex,

I almost had a deal like that a few years ago. A local PW guy did mainly new construction PW work, but he wanted out to do trim carpentry work. He was going to sell me his whole rig for 5k and even offered free training. We went out to do a job one Saturday, but got rained out because it was too muddy on the construction site to work. The next time we talked, he had sold his rig to a painter friend of his, so I missed out. I went and spoke to a Landa dealer who happened to also do the service work on this guys PW equipment. The dealer gave me confidence that the guy kept the equipment maintained properly which made me feel better about my potential investment, even though it didn't work out in the end. So find out who does the service work on the equipment you're looking to buy and go talk to them.

Thanks to all for the input on equipment.

I was kind of on the fence with making a desiscion on wheather to make the purchase.I actually had gotten ahold of the where the aaladins are sold and they gave me a quote of much higher value than what I'll be paying so,it gives me more confidence to move forward along with all the great messages that responded to my questions.Once again thanks to all and I may take up the offer to contact a few of you pro's out there for some friendly advice for a beginner like myself.
Thanks,
Alex.
