Your not going to believe this but I'm going to tell ya anyway.
Will I went and washed three rigs today,he is not on a weekend wash and knows it.You remeber I told you I wash for a farmer that won the national rice farmers award this year.He bought 3 new white polished pete's and 3 new hopper bottom trailers. He called for me to wash them 3 weeks ago,the weather has been to bad though the week to wash them. They have been running up and down muddy gravel roads and when I seen them today I like to have had a big lump in the back of my pants.Muddy wasn't the word for it,it was laying 3 to 4in deep on them there polished tanks and not only that they looked yellow from the hardwater stain on the gravel roads...for a second I thouht dat lump was running down my leg.You talk about wanting to turn around and go home I did,the weather man had lied again,26 wind chil all day,it was 20 wind chil when I started blowing frozen mud.
I was still working on the first one when he drove up,he was grinning from ear to ear.I told him I'd slap dat grin off his face if I wasn't cold and muddy. He didn't know I was going to wash them today he said b/c I know you have other trucks on the weekend. He said I do not want no one washing my stuff but you and he really thank me for doing them today.Pulled out his billfold and pulled out a 100 dallor bill and said here take this for a tip I want you to have it.I backed up and said no I don't want it,I thank you for the offer and I do understand, buy your employees dinner with it and my truck is locked you cann't put it there either.
truth is its going to rain the next two days and I decide not to wash any of the weekly weekend washes today. Its the reason I couldn't take his money, made me think more highly of him tho.
Guess what,I blewout a new trailer tire on the way home,it wasn't a good day to me,frozen mud, polished trucks, hardwater stain and now a blowout..I could almost smell dat lump by now.
