Hi guy's

I thank's in advance for any help that could be given to me.i'm hoping maybe someone can help. My father started a pressure wash business for fleets and houses. Today someone asked him how much would he charge for a two story home, and i am at a loss of what would be a good decent price. He lives in Sacramento California and i am not sure of what the going rate is there and would not like him to charge too little and lowball some other person that might all ready be cleaning the house. He has all the equipment and has washed several relatives houses to get experience and has just started to advertise. I though that anywhere from $150 to 250 should be okay. but since im not sure in that area what the going rates are i hope maybe you guys can point me in the right direction

Thanks guys for any and all help!!!!

Your father started a business and doesn't know what to charge? Sounds like you and he both need to do a little research before you go any further. Good luck!

actually he did do alot of research for all the material and has practiced alot, the only thing is i would like to kep him from charging too little so that he doesn't low ball anyone else you feel me, im sure you wouldn't like for someone to charge alot less than you and take your job. That's actually why i have asked for a little help here since pricing in different areas are different. But i figure that if he charges maybe 85 to 125 he should be right in the ball park, what do you guys think once again this is for the sacramento california area.

85-125 is low low lowballing for a 2 story..on avg.
Shoot for around $1.00 per linear foot of house/ story, more if doing the gutters.
$2.00/ linear foot for 2 story etc..

Thank you very much FCPWLLC,

That gave me a very good idea of what we should charge a good ball park figure. If anyone lives in the sacramanto area that knows around what the current charge is there please do tell.

Thank you guy's for youe kindness.

$75 to $150 an hour is common.
When bidding a flat rate you can do better
providing you bid the job right.

Are you Louis P. who came in with your Dad
and bought the Hydro Tek SC30009 from us
a couple months ago?

you could also try .10 per sq foot on a single story or .20 on a two story but i like the linear ft best myself [white]

As stated 75 to 150 per hour which will depend on the cost of chemicals, hotwater and travel time. With the hourly rate in mind you will come closer to getting the local price, knowing your hourly cost on jobs and how much it cost you per hour to run your business keeps you from going out of business.

He needs to contact some of the local contractors to get a better view of the local pricing.
