Can you tweak your GPM?

We just purchased a Karcher PowerWasher for our new Biz. It is a 3000 psi, 2.8 gpm. We looked at the PSI more than the GPM, and now we have realized that we needed to consider both! Is there any way to tweak the GPM on our machine, with a new "regulator" or something, or are we stuck with what we bought? We have 30 days to return this unit......any suggestions!! Thanks

Return it if you can. You will hate that machine. It's a homeonwer unit and you will lose money in the extra time it will take you to finish each project. Four gpm should be your minimum target. The only way to tweak more gpm would be to replace the pump.. unfortunately the pump is probably the most expensive part on your machine.

With a bigger pump, you will need a bigger engine!

Okay, thanks for the help. We saw this one and thought it was a good deal at $450. so we snatched it up. But I guess we will be taking it back!! [wsmile] I really appreciate the help!!

take it back! go 4GPM and BELT drive!! or the new poly chain is good too.

You can tweat a belt drive by adding a smaller pump pulley.
