candle wax

Hi everyone,
Could someone tell me what’s the best method to remove the shadow of candle wax from a brick pavement?

So far I have not found a good way. I've encountered citronella wax spills, and for some reason the shadow stays, just like old gum that is removed.

I've tried various degreasers with no luck.

You cant just do the wax spot without doing the whole area

But acid works great!! but `ya gotta do the entire area or you will have a real clean spot~~
