I've done a few of these and I use my standard car/truck soap with relatively low pressure, and I have has no complaints. Be sure to rinse well though as the soap hides in the material.
You can brush them to..

Awnings

I have just started to do awnings as an addon. You might try doitrightinc.com or awningcleaning.com They have everything you need.

old thread, new question

We do alot of vehicles for a signage company. They have come to us to wash a cloth awning. Have been doing a lot of reading and did some testing this fall in preperation for this.

The question I have... The weather is in the mid 30's and possibly low 40's. Is there anything that I should know before I get into this. It is a favor to the owner of the sign company and possibility for more work, within a prominent and high traffic area of town.

Awning info: 50-60' x 6-8' & 9-15' in ht, white with small decals. Structure is in great shape, except for a corner where a truck has clipped it. heavy mildew, and of course snow cover 6"-1'.

I see that mild bleach can be used, I have used a vehicle cleaner, afraid that I will get into freezing issues with the detergent? any suggestions on how to get at this. Not really used to the winter washing, do more commercial detailing this time of year?

Thanks for any comments or suggestions.
