Hi folks,
I have a 3.5gpm Cat Pump on my pressure washer. Usually, to ease startup, I hold the trigger on the wand open to allow water to flow easily so there is little back pressure on the engine. This weekend, I did the same, however whenever I released the trigger the engine would shut down. After several attempts it became obvious that the pump was never disengaging as it would normally do when you stop the flow of water through the wand. The entire unit would begin to shake and the engine would strain. Can someone tell me what I would need to do or look at so that the pump would disengage when the wand trigger is released. Boy, I'm hoping the pump is shot.
Thanks a bunch
