Cleaner ratio for tire marks on concrete

My standard cleaner for concrete is 10.5 and a butyl degreaser downstreamed at about 8:1 and works well for most of my residential jobs- mildew, dirt, moderate tire marks etc. coldwater ( I know, hot is better.) I have one coming up- Concrete is about a year old and there is no mildew but heavy and alot of tire marks. My question is, What would be the recommended dilution ratio for the degreaser as I figure I will need it stronger or would any of you recommend that I use sodium hydroxide based which I have several one which has 25% SH in the cleaner. Any educated response would be appreciated.

"Educated respose"? Not from me, not yet. I would say keep mixing it stronger until you find a strength that works. Process of elimination, so to speak. May have to go full strength. Call it a "practical thinking" response.LOL

Grassfrog,

The reason I asked for an educated response was to eliminate your suggestion which wasn't educated or practical. Ribbit.

I'll try to be nice since I kow everybody has a bad day once in a while---No I won't.
Look a little closer before attacking the ONLY person who responded to your question.
This question is two weeks old, and only one response--me.
That tells me my response was either right on the money, and nobody else need respond, or your question was so rediculous, nobody cared.
Again, why would you insult me for that? Did it take you two weeks to think of an insult?
That's what I get for trying to be helpful. Take care--Danielle

I read your other posts. You are a smart a**. I won't respond to you or read your posts so it ends here. Get some manners and spelling lessons.

Mix the buytl and sodium hydroxide to get tire marks off. There are several products that are sold for remoiving tire marks that contain SH & butyl.I can't help with dilution rates because we rarely downstream.
If it's not a huge area you could mix your chems in a pump sprayer.1/2 gallon SH ,1/2 gallon buty,l and a gallon of water in a 2 gallon sprayer

Thanks Scott. I originally posted the question because it was a new p.m. that was going to be on the site and I wanted to avoid the process of elimination. Since the area was large it would have been easier/faster to downstream hence the question about the 25% s.h. Anyway, it came out good, pump up with butyl and s.h. on the marks, downstreamed the rest. Earned his biz. I appreciate your response.

Daniel, my apologies for rubbing you the wrong way. Some people just don't like each other, and that's ok too. But I did try to help. I wasn't trying to be an a$$. I read your original post, and saw that noone had responded, so I thought I'd give my thoughts. It's that simple.
If my thoughts didn't help you, you could've just ignored it. Instead, you chose to personally attack me. I didn't appreciate it. So I called you on it.
I'm here to learn, and I'm here to help where I can. I'm also here to crack a joke once in awhile. Some people interpret my sarcasm the wrong way. Hard to make facial expressions and tones of voice in the written word. I don't know what I said wrong to set you off, but I apologize anyway.
No hard feelings?
Randy
p.s. My spelling is better than my typing!

Good deal, man. I was beginning to think we were going to be chastised by the bb gurus.
Now we can get back to pressure washing.
p.s. Maybe they should start a fight category.
Later!
