I have been asked to bid on a 135 home development - with a few small catches that I have not been able to figure out how to deal with. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated!
The development has cement tile roofs that are about 13 years old. The property manager has asked that they be cleaned without anyone walking on the roof surfaces. Most of these homes have peaks about 35 -50 ft high and with angles, they are not accessible from the ground even with extension wands - at least not any that we have.
His other requirement is that he does not want any significant water pressure on the roofs: 50-60 psi max!
Since we normally do this type of work with a rotary / surface cleaner and then spray a midewcide afterwards, I am a little unsure about how to approach this one.
I was planning on adding more surfactant to our chemicals to make them stick and using an x-jet to apply the chemical, but I hate to think of the possible overspray effects and waste of chemical that we'll see. For rinsing, I was hoping to use a Pitch Witch, but I am not sure of the PSI coming out of the nozzle and the length of the wand may not be adequate.
Has anyone come up against this type of situation and come up with a good solution or process that they would like to share?
