I usually do not have a problem with my ears getting cold but Saturaday was a different story.Do any of you wear something to keep your ears warm while washing?

I would have to say, the way to beat the cold for me while washing is to keep looking at the truck running with the heat blasting away is what gets me through those cold days, just one more row of tractors and I get some warmth. Just like in the summer when you look at the truck with the A/C blasting.

With my lowball prices I cann't afford to let my truck run while washing. If I could I think it would make my ears colder knowing how warm inside the truck would be.I have my heat and AC unpluged,I think they make it harder on a feller.

Scott,Those look pretty neat,The ones I remember went over the head and I wasn't to fond of those.

Did you pick yours up local or order from web?

Kinda new in this business but not the business of cold.

I pump concrete for a living....which shuts down below 25º.
My hands are always wet.
When it's 25º out and blowing....wet hands are a real liability.

My trick?

I use neoprene diver gloves. 9" About 12 bucks. Do they last as long as work gloves? No. But it can be 0º outside and my hands in water and my hands are often too hot.

So....mebbie a divers hood?

Cap, Combat, Camouflage

This is what I use to keep my ears warm. Never have needed more, it has fold down from inside flaps and is half cotton and half poolyester. Can even be worn inside a steel pot. (Gets REALLY uncomfortable inside Kevlar, but if you need warmth and are wearing kevlar, you have worse problems)

They're as ugly as homemade soap, but they work and are cheap anywhere near a base or fort, or in surplus stores.

Mine were a gift. Not sure where they came from. This is the only website I have found them on.

The nice thing about the ones like I have is you can slip them around your lower leg when driving and they are easy to find before you get out of the truck.

It's been a long long time seeing a Elmer Fud style cap,I used to laugh at my uncle but like you he said his ears were warm.

With inside flaps I'd haveta get a BIGGER cap size,in my growing up years I liked the inside flaps.

I think Squitgun has the best ideal,on when needed and off when not needed,do those come with a radio too lol.

We use rain suits. 2 piece, with hood. I get them 2x large so we can wear heavy clothes underneath. Some of the guys like to wear a stocking cap, and some that cover the face.

Here is a picture of one of my guys last winter at the coal mine.

Ken with Scotts earmuffs that looks like a hood guys best friend, does it come in a full body suit :).

Dan if those are the type you can put air in I have a pair but no one has seen me outside the house inem .Plus the wt. ofem would kill a feller going up and down ladders on farm eqt. and not counting the space a feller would need to just turn around inem.

A farmer told me today that Pro Bass sales a "hunderd mile hour suit",I think thats the name of it b/c I ask twice to see ifen he was bull crapping. He said cost something like over 200 but they put them on sale once a year for 100.He said he could run up river in his bass boat in a full rain and never get wet other then his face.I started backing up pulling up my pants leg and he said he'd go get his for me to wear,I said no I believe ya.Anyway do any of you know about this hunderd mile hour suit pro bass sales?

I just checked the bass pro website. They have a 100 mph parka advert for $200 approx and matching bibs for $200 also. That means complete coverage is like $400!!!

I too just back from pro bass web site,if they'd last they would be worth it to me.

I also liked the sound of that Gore-tex snuff,if the Gore-tex is like the rocky boots it also would be worth it.

LArry........It's funny..............but those Mickeys are not for air in..............It was made for the "jumpers" when our boys jump outa the air plane they needed to let the air out before they landed or they would break their legs.
I wear them all winter even hunt in them...........One pair of dress socks is all I need
I even wear them un-tied with my pants inside to let more heat out................
