Combines

Has anyone been cleaning combines? I am getting ready to do my 5th one and it seems to be getting easier each time. It has been taking at least 6 hrs to do one because of all the nooks and crannys that hold piles of oats or corn or whatever they have been processing. I have been charging $300 a unit. Has anyone else been doing them and if so how much have you been charging?

Hello Bob,

We do a few combines each year. Some are really tough to get clean and there are many different sizes.

Most farmers in our area expect to pay around $100. If we go out special for just one we will charge $250-300 and will spend 2-3 hours.

A Combine is a farm impliment that picks corn, soybeans, cotton, etc. They have an inclosed cab area and a big front end called the head. The heads can be changed so the farmer can use the same combine to pick different crops by just changing the head. I have never cleaned one, but I would guess the head is the most time consuming part.

Thanks I couldn't sleep thinking about the difference between a Combine and a Concubine Thought they were somehow related.
