Compressed Deck Stain

Blown Away

New Member
Got a call today from a tree surgeon stating that while doing a sub-contrtact job from a landscaper he just got finished grinding a stump with his new stump grinder and while steering it on a concrete area he blew a hydraulic line. After shutting the machine off he then walked the machine over the compressed deck (fiberglass/wood, I am not too familiar with these decks, have not come across one in my travels) leaving tire marks after walking through the hydraulic fluid. Therefore he has an area on the deck that has hydraulic fluid tire tracks. He stated that he was advised to use a degreaser and light pressure. He only has $200.00 invested in this job while the landscaper has about $10,000.00. Any advice so I can help this guy out would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

use a degreaser right away, try a oven cleaner, after you can sand it. It will turn brown for about a week but will return to the gray color.
its made up of entirly of the same composite so the middle is the same as the top
its mostly goof proof feathering the edges when washing or sanding is best when spot work is being done i would do the whole deck or at least the whole floor area.
its soda bottles and sawdust www.trex.com
