concrete cleaning

Charlie:

From one newbie to another, there are far too many posts on this board dealing with this very topic for many people to respond to your query. Your best bet is to spend a couple hours (yes HOURS) going over the various posts. You won't earn a degree, but you will surely get an education second only to a hands-on seminar. Then you'll have a better feel of what particular questions to ask, and whom to ask them of.

Jon is probably one of the best flat surface washers on the board, and Ron seems to have the chemicals down pat. If it has to do with a brush, don't even think about asking Bigboy. Other people do other things (decks, fleets, buiildings, parking lots, etc.).

Hope this helps.

Ok Charlie, after all your hours doing researh are done you will want to sleep for a day to recoup your energy.

Now Ron will tell you the same thing I am, if you don't have a surface cleaner buy or build one before you start doing concrete full time as it is going to make your work a lot easier and faster.

If you need plans Email me and I will send them to you or put you in touch with Rick of ProWash who developed a very good one.

I will say that a good degreaser should do the job, but there are as many brands as there are companies selling them and they all claim to have the best, some are better then others yes, is there one that is BEST, well that would depend on what you want to call best.

It also depends on your pocket book, Zep makes a good product but it is costly, another company makes an all purpose one and when mixed towards the heavy end works great too, so you will have to experiment some.

Some use acid, others don't and that is a whole nother subject not to be covered here or now.
