I havent been on here in a while, been busy working 2 jobs, I mainly do fleets, but I also do concrete cleaning on the side. I recently got a call from one of my good customers asking if i can clean a driveway they leaked oil on. I can usally take my degreaser and spray it on the spots, aggitate, then pressure wash off, but Its so hot out here the soap dries before I can get it washed off. Im looking for something better, muratic acid, HF acid, citric acid? What are you guys using.

Dont use Acid. It only etches the concrete. You need to give Mark a call at Easy Clean and get some BT200. His number is 916.638.0828

BT200 is a certified green degreaer. It uses 'good' bacteria and microbes to eat the oil out of the concrete, pavers, soil or asphalt.

Does it have to sit on the concrete for a long time, or is it just soak aggitate then wash. Thanks for the input, I'll give him a call tomorrow. I haven't been real happy with the so called "green" chemise I have used in the past.

Yes it needs to sit at least 45 minutes to an hour. Longer if possible. The thing to remember is, that the BT200 is a Bio Remediation product. It "EATS" anything that is organic. It uses good bacteria, "billions of tiny little bugs" that go deep into the pores of the surface to eat out the hydro carbons. As opposed to most general purpose degreasers that are done cleaning as soon as they hit the surface, the BT200 will keep cleaning for up to 4 days if left undisturbed.

Most degreasers, and the use of "hot" water only are great at cleaning the top surface layer of oil, and it will look ok, but two weeks later the oil that is deep in the pores will leech back to the surface and often time will look like it was never cleaned.

So is that why you hear from home owners that DIY, they always say that it is a repeat process unitll the stain is finally gone?
