contracts

Gotta question that maybe someone can help me with. Do any of you cleaners out there have their clients sign any type of contract that states exactly what you will do and won't do and list on it what you cannot be help responsible for if they tell you to go ahead and do this iffy part of the over all cleaning proccess. I have started doing this because I have been burned to many times. I have a clause in there that if I am not paid within a certain amount of time that they will have to pay all costs of legally collecting my money through the courts. I know that a lot of you may think that I am scaring some customers away but I figure if that if they don't want to sign this piece of paper then they may just might not want to pay me. Anyone out there think that I am over reacting?

IT'S NOT THE SIZE OF YOUR HOSE IT'S HOW OFTEN YOU GET TO USE IT.

The only jobs I have been burnt on are the one time jobs from home owners and it only happened twice so No, at this time I am still a word of mouth person.

I give 30 days for my regular accounts and have no problem getting paid on time.

That is not to say it will always be that way, there is a slow payer in every group so sooner or later I will end up with one.
