Cover from the rain

Hey all,

Is it nessacary to cover your equipment, exp. the pressure washer from the rain? I always thought it would be, but I never see anybodys rig covered. Currently, I have a big rubbermaid tote that I turn upside down to cover my PW. I noticed Squirtgun suggest a grill cover. I'd be interested to know what you guys do. Im always scared that tote is gonna fly off and hit a car when im going down the interstate, and it doesn't look as professional as I would like.

Thanks,
Micah Kommers

Micah,
You can get a custom cover made for your machine. You can have it made with tie down to keep it on the machine at highway speeds.
We only use the grill cover when the machine is sitting in the yard or on a job site where hot water isn't needed and it starts to rain. Our machien has avertical burner so I try to keep it covered to so the insulation doesn't get wet nad it also helps keep leafs and pine straw out.

Scott,

My small rig also has a vertical burner and I was having issues with rust. Specifically the bottom was falling through the metal floor of the trailer. I have since added a pie plate, painted black, on a small hinge - it works great.

This costs alittle more but a 4wheeler cover with the built in tie downs works well. I have an enclosed trailer, and when we had a open trailer these worked well, and they didnot blow away. hope it helps.
