Dang Bugs!

First off, I would like to thank everyone on this board for sharing their ideas with us new folks to the biz. Further, I have been in contact with some of you since I joined this board and am grateful for your willingness to help out.

I haven't posted much as I am on a sharp learning curve right now and just reading the past posts has answered the vast majority of my questions - Thanks Dan!

Anyway, my question might seem a bit odd, but living in Michigan, we are usually attacked with sworms of mosquitoes and other biting insects each year. Worse yet, I can be standing in a group of people and undoubtedly will be bitten 5 times more than the average person - must have something to do with my body chemistry I guess?

Now to my question: does anyone else have this problem when working outdoors? Do the chems you use tend to help keep the critters away? Do you use a lot of bug spray? I don't like using it as it contains carcinogens. Have you ever fogged an area you work in?

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Tim

Eat some garlic or gerlic Tablets. The unscented ones that you get at the health food stores might work as well. The essence of it will repel bugs, and animals, and women, and men. If you get it in the right quantity though it will keep the bugs away pretty well. There are other herbs, too, but this is the one that comes to mind quickest.

Any statement that I make about equipment, processes or your hair color is my own personal opinion. I usually base it on personal experience. If you disagree with me you are free to reply on both the BBS and by e-mail. If I am totally off base please explain why on the BBS so that we may all know why;)

Skin So Soft from Avon works here in Houston where the skeeters are so big they have to get clearance to land. Seriously, i know it sounds sorda, well, not manly, but it works great.

Hey Craig,

Skin So Soft works well here in Washington, mosquitos and biting flies. I get a kick out of it though! In the summer if you go to any gas station/quick mart were alot of Loggers go on the way to work you can smell them before you get to the door. We call it Smell So Good! The way they look and the way they smell...well...just doesn't jive!

Thanks to everyone who replied to this post. I appreciate the ideas and I will be trying them out this summer. Good thing I love garlic!

One thing that is nice is that my question was replied to respectfully and in a sincere manner to help. I am sure I will have more borderline stupid questions in the future and it is nice to know that I can come here and be treated professionally!

Thanks again! Tim
