Deck Cleaning

I had to clean a deck last night for a fellow co-worker. Before I started the deck looked all about the same, a little black and gray.

When I started cleaning, some areas came extremely clean (Bright color wood) and some areas kept a black spotchy look to it. The latter areas were shaded by the outside rail (pickets and top board, nothing solid). Reapllied chems (wolmand deck clean) and nothing changed. Went back and forth several times and nothing.

Would like for this to look even.

try oxolic acid (not bleach).

You may need to strip that area. The deck may of had a sealer on it. The areas without sun exposure probably were not weathered enough. Strip then neutralize. See what happens.
