Demineralized Water / confined areas

Hello,
Urgently looking for any info on demineralized water( client provides) what effect will it have on pump equipment ( fire dept declined job). how fast will it damage metal parts?

Working inside 6mil gallon storage tank, concerns for worker saftey, respirators, air feeds, what is required.

Recieved call at 5pm to wash out a new holding tank at new power plant w/ demineralized water. neeeds to be done tommorrow morning.

Go for it. I run DI water through my pressure washer all of the time. After continuous use, we're talking several months it will cause hydrogen embrittlement, but if you just run tap water through the machine after you are done there will not be any problems.
