dillution ratio for applying wax?

A few weeks ago, I made a post about using wax for house wash jobs. I have to wash this house tomorrow. I have never used wax, and probably never will again.

I got a gallon of a wax concentrate from a friend of mine. I believe it was bought from enviro.

Does anyone know the proper dillution for this stuff? It is pink in color. I intend on applying it with an xjet.

WAX

Hi Mike.

We don't use wax very often, but sometimes it is required for certain mobile home parks around here. All I can tell you is a little will go a long way. 2-3 ounces mixes into 4to5 gallons of water than you can spray it on. It was sugggested to us to very lightly and quickly give a fast rinse after applying. Once again we don't use it often but this seems to work.

Good luck,

Mike,
I use wax on occasion but haven't used any from the place you mentioned. Mine is some left overs form a car wash and is highly concentrated. I use it as Gordon mentioned. It only takes very little and it will bead water on the windows and other surfaces. I don't think it lasts very long but the best way I have found is to apply it hot then use a cold mist, quick rinse.

I too am looking for this house wax for siding.
Is there a product that will remove oxidization and put a shine on aluminum?. Or do most of you simply offer a pre paint prep for oxidized aluminum?. By oxidized, I mean the colour will rub off with your hand......

- Also, have any of you needed to remove dead vine limbs that have stuck to the siding. The plant is gone but in the process of removing it, there were bits of branches that remain, how do you remove these?.

Walk away?...

Hi Chris,

Hate to say it, but after 11 years in this business we have not found a good way to get the vine residue off of siding. Everything will either 1) not do much or 2) take off most but not all of the residue but in the process damage the siding itself by taking the color off because of how much pressure is needed. People don't understand that those vines almost literally become part of the house. If there is an answer out there I sure would be glad to hear about it. Sorry this is not much help-
Good luck,

I wonder if H/F acid will remove the little pieces left behind. Anybody have thoughts on this?
