Dirt Killer Turbo Size

Hi!

I have a new landa 3500 psi 3.8 gpm pressure washer. The wand has two tubes, a high pressure tube that the various degree tips quick connect onto, and a low pressure tube used for siphoning and applying chemicals. Which one is engaged is determined by a valve on the wand.

I've seen the 3200 and 4700 psi dirt killer turbos in various sizes (3.5 to 10 nozzle) and would like comments on which is best.

Thanks,
Dan

Purchased the higher pressure dirt killer in early 2001. Have found only limited utility for it; probably more a function of the type of work I am doing than the quality of the device. B2

Thanks, Walt and Bill.

I've decided to go with a 4.5 nozzle and with the 4700 rating and a brass filter. Dirt Killer and xxxxxxxxxx were very helpful.

Thanks,
Dan

Looks like the name of the retailer was screened so as not to post. I suppose I'll have to look into posting etiquette?

Hello Dan,

The chart that I have shows that you should use a #4 nozzle for a flow of 3.8 gpm @ 3500 psi. If you use a 4.5 you will loose pressure on your pump.

I would use the smaller (physical size) nozzle because they rotate faster. Most of these are rated for 3000 psi but your machine is not that much over!

My $.02,

Dan,

There are certain words that the board automatically x's out..............included on that list are a couple of the larger distributors, among other things.

Just heed some simple advice, DON'T BUY CHEAP TURBOS! If you see it on sale, avoid the cheap one's and get the more expensive Dirt Killers and better. We buy so many of these things we thought we'd try and save a buck so we bought a few of the cheap $35 turbos to try out. We burned 'em out in less than 15 minutes.
