Been hearing alot about using Citrus Orange for House Washing. Does it leave a residue on the windows that does not come off, or does it rinse off clear? Wondering if they mix it with clorox too? If anyone is using it I would appreciate their comments. Anna

im sure it would work but big $$$ i would only use it for special jobs and i cant think of any i would use it on. If its dirt and mold your trying to get off use truck wash-bleach-and DAWN. It also depends on how you apply it. Use the search and you will see LOTS of stuff on this topic. Good luck

Thanks Ron, Went to search checked it out. Think the truck washing detergent will work better. Like the idea of cascade for the windows. Tried Dawn in laundry works good too. Makes the clothes softer and wrinkle free. All helpful hints help. Anna

Anna,
I have been using a d-Limonene based cleaner for a couple of years, works good. d-Limone and citrus are the same thing.
You should be satisfied with the results.

Anna:

If you email me, I can tell you where you can get a citrus based cleaner at around $1.70 per gallon, as opposed to the $7.00+ per gallon you'd pay at Home Depot for a similar product.

We use Limonene if you buy it in the winter you can save about a third of the cost.We have been using it for about 4yrs. Does a good job but we neutralize it with oxalic acid then rince.
It can leave a residue if allowed to dry. Its a bugger to get off if that happens. we spent a 1hr cleaning one customers windows. We have only had 1 call back on windows. Took care of it right away. I think that we are going to start lightly cleaning windows with a squeege . Later Tim
