hi guys, as some of you know its been raining for days in california,
i was just wondering how some of you guys deal with this type of
weather in your area. i havent work in a week and a half due to
weather. it sucks!! specially when you have staff out of work too.

Since it is an infrequent occurrence, I would service equipment,
Take care of repairs that need to be made, and train and update
employees.

thank you for your response scott but i was going down the line of
working/make some money. Yeah it doesnt rain that much here but
i have ideas of moving to kansas so when snows what happens to
pressure washing

PLOW PLOW PLOW PLOW AND OH YAH DID I SAY PLOW???? lol but for
real bud i ran into that problem this year but its really just been cold like
too cold to wash but no snow so yah it sucks i always try to find some
painting jobs (inside of course) but yah i know next year i'm gonna be
the ant that saves up all year and not so much the playing grass hopper . . .
or how ever that story goes lol

Why not just keep washing rain, snow whatever as long as it is above 25 F? We are based out of Cleveland, and so far this winter we have only missed 1 week so far (knock on wood). The weekend it started to get cold we jammed most of our weekend work in on that Thursday and Friday night, so we didn't miss out on it and then the weekday work we missed we made it up on the following weekend and week. Also look for inside work, we have a cable company that we wash their trucks so the week it was too cold to work we were picking up their trucks and detailing them in out shop.

Sometimes I go two or three weeks without washing in the winter months b/c its either rainning,snowing or freezen,I've missed alot of days this winter.

I either go fishing or hunting or just goof off,got to wash two hours last weekend and still had ice hanging off the trucks when done.

I don't book any jobs between Thanksgiving and Easter. Its the unfortunate reality of doing residential work in the northeast.
